Data From the Past

A site-specific installation that consist of obsolete data discs, 2016.

Messages from the past are hidden in these data discs and the audience are encouraged to find quotes from philosophers and poets that are hand etched into the discs. The installation reflects light – and the audience – breaking the light into its spectral colours. The work is made from obsolete data discs and is a reflection on how the world around us changes - and with it how we communicate and reflect.
The work is a reflection on the way that technology increasingly integral to the human condition and the world around us.

Data from the past will be unique to the site, consisting of discs, and larger circles, which together will become a large visual installation that is tailored to its location.
